 How does an AC work

An Ac has three main parts Evaporator, compressor and condenser. When the hot air from the room goes into the Low-pressure evaporator coils the liquid refrigerant present inside the coils absorbs the heat then it starts to convert into gaseous state then this gaseous refrigerant goes into the compressor. Then the compressor compresses the gaseous refrigerant into a liquid state and passes it into the drainpipe and out the extra heat goes into the condenser coils there all the heat is removed and the cold air goes to the room. The AC does this process many times till the room is as cold as instructed to do.
